Insun Choi is a composer whose music tells stories that transcend language and genre. With a versatile background in classical, jazz, electronic, and choral traditions, she creates evocative scores for film, television, animation, video games, multimedia installations, and the concert stage. Her music blends detailed orchestration, immersive sound design, and narrative sensitivity—serving as an emotional bridge between visuals and audience.

She holds an M.A. in Music Composition with a specialization in media scoring and orchestral conducting. Her portfolio spans award-winning choral works, chamber music performed by acclaimed ensembles, orchestral commissions, and interactive game scores. Her collaborations include performances with the Julius Quartet, who premiered her string quartet Treasure Hunters, and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, who performed her orchestral piece Yearning. Her choral work Season of Leaving (두고 가는 계절) was recently awarded in the 2025 Busan Harmony Choir Composition Competition.

Insun’s experience encompasses a wide range of professional contexts—from scoring for indie films and broadcast content to supporting live concert productions as a sound engineer. She has worked closely with directors, visual artists, game developers, and vocal ensembles, contributing as both composer and creative lead. She is also a proficient user of professional music tools including Sibelius, Dorico, Logic Pro, and Cubase, allowing her to create polished scores, expressive mockups, and immersive mixes that enhance each project’s creative vision.

Her music aims to connect people through shared emotion, transform stories into sound, and speak to what words leave unsaid. Through every melody, harmony, and texture, she seeks to evoke memory, spark imagination, and build bridges between art and the human experience.
